The joy, fashion, music, and movies of the '40's!

While war raged in Europe America Enjoyed the music of the 40's.  Included in the list of "Greats" were Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Bing Crosby and my personal favorite Frank Sinatra

Citizen Kane, It's a Wonderful life and Hitchcock's Rebecca topped the movie charts along with Samuel Goldwynn's Best Year of Our Lives.

I guess if I could time travel to day, it would be to the 40's the decade of fragility and strength.  A time when life was hard and uncertain and where fashion was supreme.

I would embrace a cause- the cause of freedom and I would hope I would fall in love with all over again with my hubby - the tall dark stranger getting ready to ship off to war in his Navy uniform

Special thanks to Alyssa and Landon for sharing their love of the '40's and of each other with us.  And a big shout out to my wonderfully talented niece Chelsea for the amazing photography!

Enjoy your Thursday and don't forget to time travel!
