 Happy Birthday to my big sis... she celebrates 45 this year...ughh... is she going to kill me or what?  It was her closet I like shopping at most.  She even let me wear here brand new clothes before she did.  She survived the "bad hair" days with me as well as the  "card table study days"- to say I was a diligent student is somewhat an understatement. She returned home to pin my on my college cap at commencement and then again to decorate the reception hall  for our wedding solo- she is a wizard!   Through it all she stood by me, supported me and loved me! 

 To this day, she remains one of my favorite shopping companions.  She knows how to mix it up.  Happy Birthday sis-  I love you, admire you and appreciate you - you are my 2nd mother and my dearest of friends!

Coral and Mint

 I love it when fashion finds vintage- a couple of weeks ago my daughter and I threw a bridal shower for our cousin/niece Alyssa.  It was so fun to plan, and I was able to use my chairs again- Hurrah!  Her wedding colors (mint green and coral) were the touchstone for decor.  My friend's beautiful vacation rental's garden was the absolute perfect spot for an early evening gathering. And to top it off we even had a live band, "The Silver Linings."  I hope Alyssa enjoyed it as much as I did!

Thankfully, my friend Clarissa rescued me with her bow tying and center pieces making abilities.

 For dessert, we had a milk and cookie bar- these butterscotch cookies are a family recipe which dates to the 1920's...

 Now normally the groom does not attend the bridal shower, but Logan had planned to surprise Alyssa with a song- tech miss up occurred- but it sure was fun to have him be at the party!

Friends and Family complete any occasion and they are always in fashion!

 #speakbeautiful words.... I am beautiful.   So lucky am I to call this girl, friend. While I am 23 years her senior, I feel we are kindred spirits.  I love that she is pursuing her dreams, standing her ground, and sharing her joy- that is true FASHION!

Maddie

Among other things, fashion is a form of self expression.  Maddie  is somewhat of a non-conformist and loves to be on the cutting edge.  

 Her fun spring floral print romper paired with a jean jacket and ballet flats makes for the perfect spring combo

 Loving the spring blossoms Maddie is the perfect charm in her skirt and shirt duo.  She make white dazzle as a neutral and the black fringed booties complete her spring look.

Maddie's youth is her torch- so many adventures and experiences lay before her.  Anything truly is possible!
