Thankful for Shoes

Caution:  This post may cause an intense urge to shoe shop.., 

Note:  Shoes featured from this shoot were worn by the cast in the local Canyon View High Production of Footloose directed by Hollie Barrick.  

Tomorrow many of us will gather with our family and friends in Thanksgiving as we count our blessings.  The table will be laid with china and the finest linens as we indulge ourselves in all of our family favorites, and all of the guest will be wearing shoes.

            Shoes are the dessert of fashion- the  grand finale... the pumpkin pie if you will.  They leave onlookers in awe.  What do your shoes say about you?

As a kid, I had one pair of shoes. But they were versatile as they could be worn for church and school.  Today,  I think I may have let the monster out of the cage-- 

Shoes should speak for us, about us, and to us.  With so many colors, styles, and varieties to choose from- there is a pair for everyone!  

            These shoes simple giggle with joy and adventure

Jenny

             Jenny keeps it casual in her fall classic look.  Pairing her "go to" denim jeans with a striped long sleeved t-shirt, Autumn hue cardigan, and riding boots, Jenny captures this classic fall Fave.

Jenny loves the layered look for fall.  Layers make fashion  fun and versatile.  Playing with various hues and patterns create a unique look.  Jenny does it right!

As a mother of three and as a nurse educator in labor and delivery, Jenny juggles family and career and actively volunteers at her daughter's school, and in civic organizations as well.  For her, fashion must be comfortable and flexible.

Jenny is a gluten, sugar lover, wishes she could live on the beach, loves reading, hanging in her pj's with her 3 "littles," and hiking in the hills with her hubby.

           Melissa & Jenny - this sister duo shakes up the Autumn air.... 

Kara

Kara's classic casual look plays well for an afternoon bike ride on the one and only beach cruiser. However, on this bike ride, the lush  fall foliage takes a backseat to Kara's Autumn look.  

Dressed in black skinny jeans, black top, and classic black ballet flats, Kara makes a definite fall statement with her playful print Aztec Kimono.

Color is fun in any season.  Don't be afraid to wander from the classic hues this fall.   Set off  traditional colors with a pop of color.  The aqua blue in this kimono adds the perfect touch!

Wife,  mother of three, and salon owner,  Kara's love of fashion has to be practical, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun!

Melissa

Melissa embraces fall.  Sporting an adorable green cargo jacket dressed up with the fall essential- faux fur, Melissa gives new life to  autumn’s dangling leaves.  The fall scarf is a staple for all closets this season.  The touch of cream contrasts with the green of her jacket and the texture of the faux fur create this simple yet sophisticated look.  

Lose the jacket and Melissa is definitely ohh, la la!  She wears plum with sass and sophistication… paired with knee length boots, boot socks, and accessorized with pearl earrings, a gold pendant necklace,  the perfect ring and Melissa makes autumn look great!

Fall begs for fashion...

Falls calls for Fashion even begs for it. With that first autumn breeze and the initial appearance of the orange pumpkin, we dig into our closets and answer the call- the call of autumn!  Our models for our premiere launch fancied the hues of the Harvest season and had fun playing in sweaters and scarves, boots and cardigans.  Each model’s look tells her story and shares her beauty.  KEPT finds Fall Fabulous—Hope you do too!

"KEPT Kaptures" the essence of Fall with models who who express themselves through the simplistic to the bold.  Each look sparks the need for a closet inventory:  boots(the bootie boot to the knee- check, scarves check, pencil skirt- check, jacket- check.  And of course, don't forget the color!
